Design and Analysis of Manual Globe Valve

The globe valve body is the main pressure-bearing component of the valve and contains the closing element. The flow passage in the globe valve is designed to have a smooth arc inner wall without sharp corners and sharp edges, thus providing a smooth process flow without abnormal turbulence and noise. The flow passage itself must have a constant area to avoid any additional pressure loss and excessive flow velocity. Globe valves have a wide two-end connection, so the body is suitable for almost every type of end connection, although the face-to-face dimension is too long to accommodate the blueprint structure (bolting the body between two pipeline flanges, which is common in rotary valves). For globe valves, mismatched end connections are also possible.
